A game from our childhood..

Difficulty: Filled Filled Filled

A well-known Dutch children’s game: “Ik ga op vakantie en ik neem mee…“ (I’m going on a holiday and I’m bringing…)

In essence, this game is a memory game. Each participant takes a turn and adds “something” to bring on holiday to the list (e.g. sun glasses, sandals, etc.). The game aspect however is that before you are allowed to add something to the list, you need to fully recite the existing list in order.

For our version, we won’t track individual players, but just focus on the list itself. So, create a game that allows you to add items to a list, based on the fact that you are able to repeat the items of the list before a new item can be added!

Make sure you clear the screen before reciting the items, otherwise the game is not really a memory game!

If you make a mistake in reciting the individual elements, the correct item is shown as well as your score. Your score equals the amount of items successfully added to the list.

(A few rounds into the game.. “gun glasses”, “sandals”, “food” and “hat” are in the list and a mistake is made.)
